The Castor Association's Archive is a significant repository of family history for various family groups. The information in the Archives started arriving from members in 1983 and continues to grow as members continue to contribute. The Archives contain 25+ years of research including:
        Computer files and Resource papers
        Notebooks of Family Information
        Photographs and Documents
        Census records organized in notebooks
Wills and military pension records organized in notebooks
        International Genealogical Index entries
        Social Security Death Index records
        Maps of localities of interest
Much of the information has been correlated and filed in computers since the founding of CAOA in 1983. The original files were kept on an Apple IIe, and converted to ASCII format in 1992. Since 2000 the Archive Coordinator has been moving the data into the genealogy program The Master Genealogist
New members receive a Lineage Chart with a list of books, family reports, that are currently available. Most of the reports will cost between $5.00 and $25.00. If there is a possibility of new reports being created they will be notified of the estimated amount of time to create the reports.
If members are in the area, the Archives are available for researching. They can also send queries by Email to the Archive Coordinator. Please include as much information as possible with names, places and dates.
