Old Isaac is first found in the St. Genevieve District in the Louisiana Territory in 1806. Family stories suggest he came from middle Tennessee while the census records have Kentucky as his birthplace. He married twice having nine children by his first wife, whose name has not yet been found and one child by his second wife Nancy Gray. He moved on to Lawrence County, Arkansas sometime before 1816 making it his home. He died in 1843 in Lawrence County.
